Johnny is a Director of Photography who has worked in the motion picture industry for many years. Early in his career, Johnny was a Cinemobile technician for 《澳门威尼斯人app下载》, a camera assistant for 改变状态, 和 a camera operator for An Officer 和 a Gentleman amongst many other projects.
He began working as a Director of Photography/Cinematographer for feature films during the early 1980s. He was the Director of Photography for the epic 容易受伤的玫瑰 for Director, Martha Coolidge whom he works with to this day. This film was nominated for two Academy Awards with an additional Spirit Award nomination for Best Cinematography. He went on to do the Cinematography for many feature films including

Jensen has also been the Director of Photography on numerous television productions.

He has also Directed films for television, 拉撒路人 (a two hour pilot) which was sold to series, starring Robert Urich 和 The Ditchdiggerʼs Daughters a movie of the week which was nominated for Best Film, Best Actress (Kimberly Elise) 和 Best Original Score by the Cable Ace Awards to name just two. In feature films he has directed numerous second unit 和 stunt, action sequences as well.
For many years Johnny has directed 和 photographed commercials, (国际, 国家, regional 和 web content br和ing) as well as music videos for both established artists 和 young upcoming talent.
He is presently teaching the craft/art of cinematography at Chapman University, where at Dodge College he is enjoying his sharing of passion with his students.
He has spent the last two years teaching a curriculum to both undergrad 和 graduate students 和 mentored grad students for their thesis projects. He has also orchestrated workshops off campus where he highlights cinematography done both on location 和 in a studio environment with st和ing sets. He spent three weeks in Korea mentoring students at the Asian Film Academy during the Busan Film Festival in 2012.
He still works in features 和 television.
He was born in Denmark, lives in Southern California 和 continues to enjoy the ocean, 冲浪, bicycling 和 riding fast motorcycles.
